Katy, Bill and Linda traveled to Italy during the summer of 2012 to explore Tuscany. The trio stayed at a beautiful villa outside of San Gimignano and spent a week driving around the region. They visited a number of cities and local areas including Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, and Chianti where they explored the beautiful sites and works of art. Katy and her parents enjoyed delicious Italian food every day (pasta is Katy's favorite!) including lots of gelato. LOTS.
Memorable moments from the trip included Katy getting yelled at by a shopkeeper for taking a photo of a display of colorful pasta (posted below!), and Bill parking in a questionable parking space outside of Pisa (Linda is still waiting for a parking ticket to arrive 4 years later).
